Based on the true-life events of Canada's national artist Emily Carr, our story follows young Ms. Carr as she ventures deep into the thick forests of British Columbia, landing amongst the indigenous Kwakwaka'wakw Nation, in hopes of burying a traumatic family secret. It was in this home away from home that Carr developed as an artist and created the pieces that would eventually make her the celebrated figure she is today. The play explores themes of roots, self-discovery, and ultimately begs the question, "What is the line between artistic cultural inspiration, and artistic cultural appropriation?"
Set in a two-story penthouse in the heart of the meatpacking district, our production will guide audiences through a theatrical exhibition of Emily Carr’s work and immersive retelling of her story. Despite Ms. Carr’s accolades and revere in her native country of Canada, she is a mostly unknown artist in the United States. This play aims to change that. As our museum "curator" guides audiences through the exhibition, she transplants them into the heart of Emily Carr's world, demonstrating, in real time, how the fascinating circumstances of Carr's life inspired her work.

After a year and a half of script development, Wild Banshee is ready to start fundraising for our flagship production, Totems! Based on the true-life events of Canada's celebrated visual artist, Emily Carr, Totems follows Carr as she flees the suffocation of her home in staunch Victorian-era society. Carrying with her a traumatic family secret, she ventures deep into the thick forests of British Columbia in hopes of burying it. She lands amongst the indigenous Kwakiutl Tribe, causing them to deliberate over what to do with the unexpected interloper. As a result of her time with the Kwakiutls, Carr developed as an artist and created the pieces that would eventually make her famous. However, her success innately begs the question, "What is the line between artistic cultural inspiration, and artistic cultural appropriation?"

'Daughters of the Sexual Revolution', a new play in development by Dana Leslie Goldstein, and directed by Kimberly Loren Eaton, is moving swiftly ahead! Our next industry presentation is January 25th at MTC. All info on the poster and we hope you can join us!
I feel extremely fortunate that over the past several months I have been involved in the development of the new play, 'Daughters of the Sexual Revolution,' written by Dana Leslie Goldstein, and creative developed by Kimberly Loren Eaton. On Monday, November 13th, 2017, Theatrum Mundi Productions hosted a private reading of the play, with a star-studded, stellar cast, for the first ever Women Producers Night. We are thrilled with the turn out and the response that we received. Here is some press about the reading. Stay tuned!
Charlie Covey and I co-wrote/produced/filmed our first independent short this past July and it is nearly finished! We saw a fine cut of it and now it's off to color-correction and sound! We expect it to be finished by end of year and then we will submit it to film festivals.
I am delving into the world of film-making! Last year I came up with an idea for a project, brought it to my dear friend Charlie Covey and together we wrote the script. We assembled an amazing crew of recent NYU film schools grads to help bring our story to life. Hard to believe that we are officially set to begin filming in July!
BoyGirlParts looks at gender stereotypes /"norms" of men and women on first dates in NYC, but from a completely new perspective.

It's about time... as nerve-wracking as it is, I could not be more ready or excited to begin class at the Upright Citizens Brigade. I am doing the Intensive track, 8 three hour classes in 5 days with a final performance on 7th day. It will be exhausting but I confident and exhilarated.
I filmed a self-tape audition for NBC's 2014 Showcase. I am very happy with the work and I would love for you to check out my scene! You can find it on the 'Video' page of my website. I am very excited about this opportunity to be seen by the NBC office.

We are in the midst of rehearsals for an exhilarating exploration of Shakespeare's play 'The Taming of the Shrew.' I remember the first time I saw Shrew, I walked away from the theater disgusted and angry at the misogynistic content of the play. How could a modern day woman playing Kate possibly deliver the final "Fie, fie! Unknit that threat'ning unkind brow..." speech with dignity? With pride? I was so horrified and swore off the play immediately, and what I thought was permanently.
When our director, Ben Prusiner, came to us with the proposal of Taming of the Shrew I was disappointed and hesitant. BUT as we read, and analyze, and start to delve into our interpretation of the script... I can honestly state that I more excited than ever about a Tempest Ladies Production. I think our ideas are unique, they push boundaries and they are shocking at time. We have found a truly innovative way to justify the role switching and we are SO EXCITED for you to come and see our show.
Mark your calendars... we perform:
February 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd at 7pm AND February 23rd at 2pm at:
American Theater of Actors: Chernuchin Off-Broadway Theater
I got extremely lucky this season and was cast on the one showcase night that I could have performed in. Our Tempest Ladies' Taming of the Shrew performances are the same week.
I have another nutty monologue to perform and I am so excited to do it. Hope to see you there!
It's that time of the season again! The TAPNYC Monologue Challenge!
I am so excited! The prizes are endless, the industry judge panel is excellent, and I have a cooky monologue that I love which I think I have a great shot at winning with. Bring it on Season 28 Monologue Challenge!
Hello TTL friends and family!
Although it is a little too early to announce all the details for our third Tempest Ladies Production, it is with great excitement that I announce we have chosen our next director! Drum roll please... Ben Prusiner. Ben, coincidentally, is a close friend of Lindsay Tanner's and actually came to give us feedback during a dress rehearsal of Macbeth back in January. Even then we were taken with how articulate, knowledgeable and genuinely cool he was. Now, a year later, he has signed on to be the director of our next project! We are so excited to see what comes out of our collaboration with a male director. Ben will choose the next play, make the cuts, cast the tracks and create the concept for our all-female take on the play. We cannot wait to dive in!
In the meantime, MARK YOUR CALENDARS! We open our 3rd production the week of February 17th, 2014!
I will start rehearsals for TAPNYC Bootcamp only a few short days after the final Season 27 showcase. It will be a brutal two weeks of rehearsals before opening night. One night only and not to be missed!
